If I'm supposed to be acting more like an adult, why do I have do whatever my mom and dad tell me to do?

Complaints I hear today about parents are the same ones I heard ten years ago -- and the same ones I voiced ten years before that!

What happens when you and your parents disagree over what you can and cannot do?
A. You don’t care what your parents think. It’s your life, and you do what you want.
B. You know they are wiser, so you submit quietly.
C. You get angry, because you don’t want to be controlled.
D. You tell them why you think the way you do. You listen and state what you feel, but in the end, you respect their wishes.
